St Martin de Trevejo
A grape harvest festival in the village of St Martin de Trevejo in the Extremadura region of Spain. I am told the council delivers the first crop of grapes to the village well and local people dress up in traditional costumes and crush the grapes by dancing on them. The resulting wine is then distributed to the residents who open their above ground 'cellars' ('boigas') to each other later in the year.
This piece will be available to order once everyone shown has had the opportunity to object to their inclusion. The mayor loves the piece and has offered to facilitate this process.
