syngenta-huddersfield-works-1916-2000 in situ
In 2013 I was commissioned by Sygenta to create 4 large pieces as part of their celebrations of 100 years of manufacturing at their site in Leeds Road, Huddersfield. They were unveiled by the Mayor of Kirklees on 3rd July 2015. This was the first piece, created using elements taken from over 400 photographs I selected from the many thousands held in their archive. These were scanned, cleaned, repaired and enhanced, cut into pieces digitally, and then seamlessly stitched together to tell the history of the site from British Dyes through ICI and Zeneca to the year 2000 when it became Syngenta.
